Q: WHAT IS CITY SPRINGS THEATRE COMPANY?
A: City Springs Theatre Company (formed in 2017) is a Regional Professional Theatre Company located in Sandy Springs, GA, approximately 30 minutes north of downtown Atlanta. We offer an annual mainstage season of 4 shows, as well as education programs through our City Springs Theatre Conservatory.

Q: WHAT IS "CITY SPRINGS?"
A: City Springs is the name for the downtown Sandy Springs campus that includes the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center. It is the home to government offices, an public park, restaurants, businesses and a residential complex.

Q: WHERE IS YOUR COMPANY LOCATED?
A: Our company operates out of three primary locations. Our offices and studios are located in northern Sandy Springs, GA, at 136 Old Roberts Drive (MAP). Our production facility (where we build out sets) is located in Marietta, GA, at 1831 West Oak Parkway, Suite B (MAP). Our mainstage season productions are presented at the Byers Theatre in the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center, located at 1 Galambos Way (MAP).

Q: DO YOU OWN THE BYERS THEATRE?
A: No, the Byers Theatre and the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center are facilities owned by the City of Sandy Springs. We rent the Byers Theatre for each production through a partnership with the city. The city programs many additional events at the Byers Theatre throughout the year.

Q: WHERE CAN I BUY TICKETS?"
A: Tickets to our shows are available here on our website. You can also visit us in-person at our offices at 136 Old Roberts Drive in Sandy Springs (MAP), where our box office staff is waiting to serve you during regular business hours. On days of shows, we do operate out of the box office at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center (MAP), beginning two (2) hours prior to each showtime. The SSPAC box office itself does not sell tickets to our productions, and we do not sell tickets to SSPAC events that are not our own.

Q: IF A SHOW IS SOLD-OUT, CAN I BUY TICKETS FROM A THIRD-PARTY?
A: There is only ONE authorized, third-party reseller of our tickets, and that is SeatGeek. Subscribers and registered single ticket purchasers are allowed to resell their authorized tickets through the SeatGeek platform. City Springs Theatre Company is not responsible in any way for tickets purchased via an unauthorized third-party.

Q: ARE YOUR SHOWS TOURING PRODUCTIONS?
A: No, everything we produce is done so on a local-level. Our mission is to provide audiences with a Broadway-quality presentation, which some patrons do often mistake for a national touring production. Costumes and sets are occasionally rented from other regional theaters, though we now have our own production facility for building our sets.

Q: DO YOU CHARGE ADDITIONAL FEES FOR YOUR TICKETS?
A: At this time, all ticket pricing includes fees. This means there are no additional charges for purchasing tickets. If you are not a subscriber and wish to exchange your tickets for an alternate performance, there will be an exchange fee that is based on the price of your original ticket.

Q: IS CITY SPRINGS THEATRE COMPANY A COMMUNITY THEATRE?
A: While we certainly consider ourselves part of the community, we are classified as a Professional Theatre Company. Everyone you see on our stage, and everyone backstage, are all paid professionals. Many of them are members of unions. Traditional "community theatre" is primarily made up of volunteers.

Q: DO YOU USE LIVE OR RECORDED MUSIC FOR YOUR SHOWS?
A: Our mainstage season productions always use live musicians, all of whom are members of the American Federation of Musicians union. Whether or not you can see the conductor/musicians in the orchestra pit will vary from show to show.

Q: WHY DOESN'T YOUR CONSERVATORY OFFER CLASSES FOR ADULTS?
A: Our company and Conservatory are committed to educating the next generation of theatre performers, technicians and audiences. The size of our studio space is only large enough to accommodate our current Conservatory programs, which share space with rehearsals for our mainstage shows. It is simply a matter of capacity.
