Cary Tedder

Private Voice, Piano and Guitar Faculty

Born in Tacoma, WA, and raised in Marietta, GA Cary attended Pebblebrook high school (class of 2005), earned a BFA in Musical Theatre from The University of Michigan (class of 2009) and went on to form a decade-long career in NYC, on Broadway, and around the United States. Original Broadway Casts include The Times They Are A-Changin’, Memphis, Big Fish, Honeymoon In Vegas, Dames At Sea, & A Bronx Tale. Cary was also seen in the Broadway company of Wicked (2019-2020), the national tour of West Side Story, as well as various regional theaters around the United States, including The Alliance, Hartford Stage, North Shore Playhouse, GEVA Theatre, The St. Louis MUNY, Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera, Music Theatre Wichita, The Arrow Rock Lyceum Theatre, and The American Pops Orchestra. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, The Kennedy Center, and Hill Auditorium in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Cary has taught the performing arts at Broadway Dance Center, The Open Jar Institute, Atlanta Ballet, The University of Michigan, Kennesaw State University, The University of Ohio, The Alliance Theatre, Orbit Arts Academy, and The Weber School.
