NextGen Broadway is a musical theatre camp for the next generation of artists and audiences.  Students will learn what it means to work hard, learn fast, and have musical theatre fun all at the same time!  All interested students will be accepted into the camp, and we will hold auditions for those who are interested in roles for the final show.  This camp is held in the Studio Theatre at the Sandy Springs Performing Arts Center!

CAMP LISTINGS

For the middle school camp, it will end with a final performance of SHREK THE MUSICAL JR. For the elementary school camp, it will end with a final revue show, specifically written for our students!

NextGen Elementary Camp

Camp Date: Monday, July 6, 2026-Friday, July 10, 2026
Time: 9:00am-4:00pm

Grades: Rising 2nd-Rising 5th
Tuition: $350

Final Performance: Friday, July 10, 2026 at 4:00pm

NextGen Middle School Camp

SHREK THE MUSICAL JR.!
Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Camp Date: Monday, June 8, 2026-Friday June 12, 2026
Time: 9:00am-4:00pm

Audition Date: Saturday May 16, 2026
Audition Time: 4:00pm-6:00pm
Audition Location: City Springs Theatre Company Studios and Admin Offices
*Students do NOT need to audition to be part of the camp. Auditions are only for those looking for a role in the show. If student chooses not to audition, they will be cast in the ensemble and still a major part of the show!
